As an Orlando area family and maternity photographer one of the first things my clients discuss with me is where to have their photo session. There are so many beautiful places in Central Florida, below I will highlight just a few of my favorites. You are not limited to this list, maybe you live in a beautiful neighborhood or if you have seen a great spot you would like to use just let me know. You can also share what look you are going for and I will help you narrow it down.

Even though you would think Florida has gorgeous greens and blooms year round, that is not the case. Please note that the general appearance of the location that you choose will most likely vary during different seasons.

I highly recommend bringing bug repellant for all outdoor locations, especially parks and near lakes.

Locations in excess of 30 miles from Clermont will incur a travel fee.

Lake Louisa State Park

Lake Louisa State Park is located in Clermont, FL just west of the Orlando area. This vast area of nature boasts acres upon acres of beautiful fields, trees, and lakes. One of my favorite features are the fields of overgrown grass, they photograph just beautifully!

The park has a $5 admission fee per vehicle with up to 8 passengers.

Downtown Winter Park

This picturesque spot is one of my favorite little gems located near downtown Winter Park, FL. The climbing vines are just beautiful!

This location has a huge perk. Because the building provides shade your session can be scheduled outside of golden hour. Meaning your session does not necessarily need to be at sunrise or just before sunset.

Downtown Winter Garden

Downtown Winter Garden offers tons of variety, picturesque spots, and paved areas. Keep in mind this location can be extremely busy any day of the week. If you prefer a little less frenzy one way to combat this is to opt for a sunrise session. The city of Winter Garden does host their weekly famers market on Saturday mornings as well and that is also an extremely busy event so I avoid scheduling during that timeframe.

The lights on the trees are not always on unless it is close to sunrise or sunset time.

CELEBRATION

The town of Celebration, FL is located just southwest of Orlando. This little town is basically like a big outdoor natural light studio. I have yet to find even a little corner of this town that is not picture perfect.

From the downtown area to the community parks, even just walking down the streets of the neighborhoods will serve as a beautiful backdrop to your photos.

If you have a well lit (windows for natural light) nursery/room in your home this is an amazing option for a special place to document your family!

Rollins College

The exquisite grounds of Rollins College located in Winter Park, FL is absolutely a favorite. You don't have to be a graduating senior to utilize the stunning spots on this meticulously maintained campus it is also great for maternity and family photo sessions.

Coastal/Beaches

Central Florida has the unique advantage of easy access to both the Atlantic and Gulf coasts. We are right in the center of the state (especially if you are in the Winter Garden/Clermont area) and about 90 miles from each side of the coast.
